Gigel Ungureanu

He graduated from the Choreography High School in Cluj – Napoca in 1995. He has won numerous prizes, including the first prize at the National Ballet Competition in 1994 and the Silver Medal in the International Ballet Competition “Oleg Danovski” in 1997. he continued his studies within the University of Sciences and Arts “Gheorghe Cristea” – Choreography Section.

In 1997 he becomes first – soloist of the “Oleg Danovski” Ballet Theater in Constanța, where he works until 2006. During this period he dances in the shows: Mozartissimo, Requiem (Verdi), Steps (Steve Crosby and Barry Upton) – choreography: Gigi Căciuleanu; Seasons, Storm – choreography Sergiu Anghel; Carmen, The Miraculous Mandarin,Swan Lake,Sleeping Beauty – choreography Oleg Danovski.

In 2006 he joins the ballet company of the Bucharest National Opera as a first soloist and dances in the main roles in the shows:  Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, “Cinderella”, “Corsair”, “Don Quixote”, “Giselle”, “Casanova”, “Anna Karenina”, “Women”, “Serenade”, “Tango. Radio and Juliet ”and the Fantastic Symphony (Gigi Căciuleanu).

As a first soloist he has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the “Oleg Danovski” Ballet Theater in Constanta, the Iasi National Opera in the shows: “The Nutcracker”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “La Fille mal gardée”, the National Opera Cluj-Napoca, Timişoara National Opera, Brasov National Opera and “Radu Stanca” National Theater in Sibiu.

Since May 2016 he holds the position of Ballet Director of the Bucharest National Opera.

 

Robert Enache

He was born on June 3, 1988 in Bucharest. He graduated from the “Floria Capsali” High School of Choreography, where he studied several dance styles besides the classical one: modern dance, Romanian dance and character dance. Within the school, he followed classical dance internships with Gilbert Mayer, Sergiu Stefanschi and neoclassical internships, with Arlet von Boven.

In 2006, he obtained the training scholarship in Munich, at the Heinz Boss Stiftung Academy, where he studies with the master Alexandre Prokofiev. He joined the Ballet Company of the Bucharest National Opera in 2007, and in 2011 he became first soloist, having in the repertoire roles from the great classical and neoclassical ballets: Basilio in Don Quixote, Colas in La fille mal garde, Albrecht in Giselle, James in La Sylphide, Solor and the Bronze Idol in La Bayadère, Konrad, Lankedem, Ali in Le Corsaire, Armand – Marguerite and Armand, Classical Symphony – Yuri Possokhov, The Fantasy Waltz by George Balanchine, Siegfried, Rothbart, Beno – Pas de trois in the Swan Lake , In the middle, Somewhat Elevated-William Forsythe, Petite Mort – Jiri Kilyan, Tango. Radio and Juliet – Edward Clug, In the night – Jerome Robbins Couple 3, The Blue Bird and Desire from  Sleeping Beauty , The Dream – choreography Frederick Ashton, DSCH – choreography Alexei Ratmansky.

In 2014 she dances with Iana Salenko in La Sylphide and Alina Cojocaru in La Fille mal gardée and Marguerit and Armand, performances in the National Opera of Bucharest. In 2014 she dances in the “Alina Cojocaru Dream Project in Tokyo” project, in 2015 at the Asteras Tokyo Ballet Gala and in 2016 at the Osaka Artistic Ballet Gala. In 2015 he collaborates as a Guest Artist with Tulsa Ballet USA for a tour in Italy.

 

Valentin Stoica

Was born in 1987, in Bucharest. At the age of eleven he is accepted as a student of the “Floria Capsali” High School of Choreography in Bucharest, a high school whose courses he will graduate in the summer of 2007. Also in the same year, he is employed at the Romanian Opera in Bucharest, but the collaboration with the institution had to start somewhere much earlier, since the young man was still a student. Here he had the chance to develop and grow professionally, both from an artistic point of view, as well as technically in solo and solo roles.

Within the repertoire of the Bucharest National Opera, the young man would dance numerous roles of some classics, both classic and modern: Ali, Birbanto from Corsaire Ballet, Prince from  Nutcracker, Alberth from Giselle by Adolphe Adam, Solor,  Bronze Idol from Baiadera, Brothers from Red and Black Ballet, Tango, Radio and Juliet by Eduard Clug, Acar from Anna Karenina, in the editing of the choreographer Ioan Tugearu.

In the winter of 2013 he is invited by the Croatian National Ballet to dance in the season ballet roles such as: Giselle, Coppelia on Montmarte in the choreography of Youry Vamos, Anna Karenina and Alice in the Wonderland in the choreographic vision of Ashley Page.

In the summers of 2005 and 2006 he collaborated intensely with the ballet company Europa Dance, founded in France. Here he worked and collaborated directly with sound names in the world of dance, such as: Jiří Kylián, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Matz Ek.

He has participated in numerous organizations and forums of artistic profile, galas and famous festivals.

In the summer of 2006 he is invited to the International Dance Congress organized in Monaco, also in the same year he participates as a guest at the International Ballet Gala organized in Bucharest within the National Opera. In 2009 he participates as a guest in the “George Enescu” Festival, playing the role of Siegfried in the ballet Lake of Swans by Piotr Ilici Tchaikovsky, in 2010, he wins with a contemporary dance band, the prize for best performance and best choreography, under the signature of Andreea Tănăsescu.

For the past two years he has lived in Taiwan, where he danced in a classical and neoclassical dance troupe, playing roles as Siegfred in the ballet Lake Swans, Le Sacre du printemps. He was also invited to teach at the Universities: Taiwan National University of Arts, National Taiwanese University of Arts.

Currently, he is the first Soloist of the Bucharest National Opera.
