Oliver Marcus Starpov

Born and raised in Copenhagen he started dancing ballet at the age of 7 at the balletschool of The Royal Danish ballet. From age 14-16 he started getting interested in choreographing, and developed skills within the children’s company at the school called ‘Kompagni B’. At the age of 16 he got hired as an apprentice with the company and after finishing the apprentice program he got hired as corps de ballet with The Royal Danish Ballet at tha age of 18.

As a dancer with The Royal Danish Ballet he has danced in many various productions both classical and contemporary with highlights like ‘AfteRite’ by Wayne McGregor, ‘Vertical Road’ by Akram Khan, ‘Rubies’ by George Balanchine, ‘The Society of Lost Souls’ by Jo Strömgreen, ‘Minus 7’ by Ohad Naharin, ‘Symphony of Psalms’ by Jiri Kylian and the most goes on.

As a choreographer he got his big break when he created the Russian and Spanish diverts for Nikolaj Hübbe and Silja Schandorffs Swanlake and only 19yo. At the age of 20 he created his first own production with The Royal Danish Ballet called ‘Beginning & Ending’, and the year later he received the prestigious Reumert Talent award for that same production. In the recent years he has created various pieces for The Royal Danish ballet such as ‘Dreams Rewind’, ‘My Daddy Loves Sugar’ and ‘Duo’ to name a few. As a choreographer he is very versatile and creates everything from highly classical storytelling ballets to abstract contemporary work.”


Eukene Sagues Abad

Born in Spain and growing up in a theatre family, she started dancing at Ballet School of Navarra at the age of 6. Besides her dance training she also took violin and acting lessons, for many years. At the age of 15 she got a scholarship to go dance in Toulouse with VM Dance Studio, and later on got moved to their junior company where she won several prizes at different dance competitions around France such as ‘Concours International de Danse Classique’, ‘Le Chausson d’Or’ and ‘Je Monte Sur Scéne’.

At the age of 19 she got hired as corps de ballet with ‘Ballet du Capitol of Toulouse’ and has danced in many various productions such as ‘Coppélia’ by Charles Jude, ‘Romeo and Juliette’ by Rudolf Nureyev and ‘A Million Kisses to My Skin’ by David Dawson amongst many others both classical and contemporary works.

At the age of 23 she got hired at The Royal Danish Ballet. Here she got to broaden her repertoire even more with works from various choreographers such as John Neumeier, Balanchine, Wayne McGregor, August Bournonville, Jiri Kylian, Liam Scarlett, Oliver Starpov, Christopher Wheeldon and so on. While dancing with The Royal Danish Ballet she also performs in various galas around the world.”
